An investigation is underway after a woman was rushed to hospital following a suspected arson attack in St Ives.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Constable Road at 2.56pm on Thursday, September 4.

A spokesman for the Cambridgeshire Fire Service said: "A fire and police investigation has been launched after two crews from Huntingdon and one crew from St Ives were called to a house on fire at Constable Road in St Ives."

"Firefighters entered the home wearing four breathing apparatus and extinguished a fire in the dining room using two hose reels. One female has gone to hospital as a result of this incident."

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: "Police are working alongside the fire service to investigate a fire in St Ives. It is though that the fire may have been started deliberately, and as a result the incident is being treated as suspicious.

"Once the building has cooled down, the investigation will be able to continue further."
